#StarStruck, Soup, Stools, & Silverstein

Hey all!  Thank goodness it's Friday.  George and I have a lot of exciting house things coming up this week, and I CAN'T wait to have this whole thing wrapped up.

I'm, again...linking up for 5 on Friday.  So lets get to it!

Alrighty, so...if you follow me on Instagram (or if you don't, follow me @beautyandthegreek), chances are you've already seen this.  But I just HAVE to share it again. One of my FAVORITE fitness gurus, Amanda Russell gave me a shout out on Instagram...and I'm not gonna lie, it made me feel like a rockstar.  Check out Amanda's awesome workouts here. Follow her on Instagram here.

I made this recipe the other day, and I was so happy with how it turned out.  Ok... to be honest, I tweaked it a lot...the proportions were way off.  I need to make it again and actually measure everything out and share it on the blog.  Basically, I just added more ingredients and tasted as I went.  This recipe also calls for not nearly enough orzo.  But, try it out!  It's so quick and easy.

I think I've finally found the perfect set of steps for doing the perfect french gel manicure.  I've had it for about 5 days so far (when I took this picture), and it's still going strong.  I'm thinking of doing a tutorial (anyone interested?), but for now... here is my regular gel nails tutorial.

I'm absolutely loving these seagrass stools from Pottery Barn.  I think they would look perfect in my new, white kitchen.  Target makes some killer knockoffs, but they're currently out of stock.  I've been checking every day, and I'm currently on the hunt for some other Pottery Barn dupes.

I came across this poem on Pinterest, and I've totally forgotten how much I love Shel Silverstein.  I remember reading these books as a really little kid, but I would love to reread them as an adult.  I love this one... even though it's kind of sad.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Spring is right around the corner!

  4. You can't help but have a hop in you step after getting a retweet or a shoutout like that!! Awesome!

It was a very bittersweet moment when I handed my son my 'Where the Sidewalk Ends' book. I told him that he can't lose it or give it away, that we need to share it with his sister when she's older too. Love it.

  9. Yes please please please do the french gel tutorial! Your blog is the reason I finally broke down and bought a gel light (and I bought the same one you have from the link you posted) and now I am addicted. I was actually just wondering how I could do a french manicure with gel polish.

  12. OMG I love Shel Silverstein! I used to read those poems all the time when I was younger, but I feel like they would mean so much more now, as an adult. Next time I'm at my parents, I might have to find those books and bring them home with me! Happy Friday :)
