House Updates

Hey all!  Happy Monday! I'm so happy to announce that Liz won the Thirty-One Giveaway!  Thanks so much to everyone who entered and was a part of making my first giveaway a success!

So anyways, G and I saw the house a few weeks ago, and the drywall is nearly done!  It's crazy to have actual walls, and it's so much easier to envision living there!

Here's the tour:

View from the entry

Looking into the living room and sunroom off of the kitchen

Kitchen and sunroom

Dining room hall and basement stairs

Dining Room

Love the view of the snowy trees from all the windows

Should I do curtains for the master? Plantation shutters? Help!

Closet!

Love a big window in the bathroom.  Natural light + doing your makeup = Not looking like a clown

 Basement living room

Future workout room

George standing at the bar (found a can on the floor to use as a prop)

Basement kitchen/bar

I think I always take a ton of pictures, but really... I didn't.  Hopefully soon we should be getting tile and hardwood installed.  I can't wait!  Hopefully, I'll have another update next week!

What advice for window treatments do you have for the master? I need help!

  2. That's going to be an amazing house! I'm always so jealous of people who can have basements. Charleston is technically under sea level so no basements!

  6. We have a large window in our master bath, too, and I absolutely love the natural light that comes in. Great design choice!

  15. Wow! It's really coming along fast! It's going to be so beautiful! Can't wait to see more pics! I like your master bedroom windows without curtains! It would be hard to put curtains up without taking away from each individual window (if that makes sense!) :)

  19. Jealous!!! Can I live there too. So pretty even without it being finished. I'm not sure on the window treatments. I'm a big blinds with window treatment or curtain girl because when I want it dark I want it dark. Lol. I think I need a better feel of overall colors and furniture to make a better decision:)

  20. Love all the pictures keep taking tons!!! We made a book when we were done! Of like the progress! Tip for window treatments, if it's in your bed room, do you need to sleep in totally darkness. I almost bought some things is loved but I have to have it dark so it would have been a huge mistake. Something to consider! I love shutters!! But that's just me :) I love how many windows you have so you can see out! Amazing!!!

  21. Your house is really coming along!!! I remember when my Aunt and Uncle were building their house in the Spring (2013) it was so much easier to see what it was really going to look like when they would finally be living there. I cannot wait to see how you have it all painted and decorated when you guys finally move in!!!! Looks beautiful now!!!
