Anyways, it has been a while since I did a Five on Friday linkup, so I figured I'd share five ways I'm planning to have a super organized house.
It is pretty rare that you get the opportunity to really do a overhaul and start fresh with a new house. Clutter and extra "stuff" gives me anxiety, so I can't wait to do a major purge and only start with the necessities. I've been looking around Pinterest, and I've found some really good ideas.
Here are 5 ways I plan on organizing our new digs:
GAH! I'm so excited for this. I will have a little vanity area to sit and do my hair and makeup. Yeah, I'm that lazy, I like to sit down while I get ready. So there is a little vanity space between our two sinks that has a long drawer. I saw some of these pictures on Pinterest, and it made me really excited to get some awesome dividers. Organization makes me really happy, hahaha.
I know some of these linen closets are a little too perfect, but this is the look I'm going for. I'm hoping to everything labeled, neatly stacked, and maybe throw in some matching baskets. I do have a fairly large linen closet in the new house, so I'm excited to make it look nice and pretty.
I've seen these used really often in organization blog posts. They are such a good way to stow little odds and ends that don't really have homes. I love the places for the labels on each box so you can remember what is in each container. I'm hoping to use more and more of these as I'm finding new homes for all of the random little things in our new place.
George is a total cord hoarder, and I have to admit, that it has really come in handy in the past. Having a giant, tangled mess isn't too helpful. Currently, I have them all bundled up, but not labeled. Maybe that will be a project I'll assign to G, since I don't know what half of them are for anyways. :)
I LOVE the look of glass jars on the counter and in the pantry. I believe a few places online sell them for a discount if you buy them in bulk. They're really versatile and look so much better than plastic packaging.
