Christmas Wish List

Hey all!  Today I'm sharing a few things on my Christmas list.

I have a hard time choosing things that I want, because as I've gotten older, I have a hard time having other people buy me things. Most of the time, if I want something, I work harder, save up for it, rethink it, rethink it again, and then buy it.  Anyways, it would be awesome if a few of these showed up under the tree this year.

One: Housekeeping

I would be 100% happy if this was the only thing I got this year.  I'm a little terrified of keeping our new house clean.  It's much bigger than our current house, and it's going to be a lot to clean.  I know that with living closer to George's family, we will be entertaining more often.  If there are going to be people in my house, IT MUST BE CLEAN.  Anyways, it would be awesome to have some help with the deep cleaning every once in a while.

Two: Subscription to Runner's World

Now, I'm no pro runner here, but I think that having this come in the mail every month would be an extra kick of motivation to get out there and bust out a few miles.  I need all the motivation I can get during these cold months.

Three: Comfy Socks

These socks from American Eagle are my favorite.  They have the best, thick socks that are perfect for wearing under boots.  You can never have too many socks.

Four: Victoria's Secret Gift Card

I would never ask my friends or family to pick out underwear for me, so this way, I can get my own.  I'm TERRIBLE about putting my bras in the washer and dryer, just loose, so they're in sorry shape.  TMI? Don't care.

Five: Toms

I've been on the fence about TOMS for a while, but I think I've finally found a pair that I would really like.  These are lined with a warm, woolen material, so they'll keep my feet warm.  When it's too cold for flats, but you're sick of boots, these might be a good substitute.

Six: Crew Neck Sweater

Typically, when the weather is freezing, I don't like v-necks.  I much prefer crew necks, because they are warmer.  Old Navy has a ton of these in different patterns in colors, and they're cheap!  Solid sweaters are my favorite.  You can dress them up with jewelry or scarf.

Seven: Burberry Classic

My mom has worn this for as long as I can remember, and I'm obsessed.  It's the perfect warm scent for fall and winter.  I just ran out, and I'm already going through withdrawals.

Eight: Chunky Scarf

This particular scarf is from Old Navy.  It is chunky, but not so big that you can't wear it inside.  I like creams and greys because you can wear them with anything.  (Like one of the crew neck sweaters above.)

Nine: The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Body Butter

My skin is ridiculously dry during winter.  It's gross, really.  I can use all the help I can get.  I love to take a hot bath during the cold months, exfoliate, then use handfuls of this body butter.  My skin drinks it all up, and stays moisturized for at least 12 hours.... before it turns back to a dry scaly mess.

  4. Your list sounds perfect to me! I have so many similar items on mine! :) I use the coconut body butter from The Body Shop, I don't know if you already have the Ginger one or want it, but I smelt it in the store and in my opinion it's not too pretty :( Just wanted to warn you if you haven't tried it yet!

    1. I feel like they're trendy, but I'll be able to wear them for a while. They're SO soft inside. Kind of like house slippers. :) P.S. Did you know that you are a no-reply blogger?

  7. Your list looks like mine!! You might be needing a little deep cleaning in your house and help every now and then. My Aunt and Uncle just built a house this past winter and moved in in May and she has been complaining about how much dust they have that settles on everything because it is a new build. Maybe a little extra help would be great!!!! I am also asking my hubby for a subscription to Runner's World. They have been emailing me nonstop and I cannot wait for the first mag to come (:

    1. I didn't even think of all the dust from a new build! One thing that I can't stand (but can't keep up with) is dust!

I'm hoping that getting that Runner's World in the mail will give me a little extra motivation during these colder months. :)

  9. I love Burberry Classic! Do you find that it lasts long though? I felt like it wore off in just a couple of hours, which is so unusual for a spicy scent... I love the smell but I didn't love feeling like I needed to reapply so soon.

    1. I think it lasts 30 mins to an hour, but throughout the day, people are always asking me what perfume I'm wearing. I think it lasts longer than we think. Maybe if I can smell it on myself it's too strong?

  13. Love the idea of asking for a housekeeper for Christmas!! A bigger house does make for a lot more cleaning work even if you still have the same amount of people living in it!! Hope you get that one. I also love Toms and they are so comfortable and cute. Great Christmas list and thanks for linking up!!

  17. Nice list! I haven't even started mine yet. I am so behind the ball on Christmas this year. If you are lucky enough to get a pair of Tom's let me know your thoughts on them. I have been tossing around the idea of getting a pair for awhile and just can't make up my mind.

Also, LOVE Body Butter. It is the best. Have you tried the dry oil yet? It is honestly amazing. I was hesitant at first but it is the best thing I have found for keep my body hydrated during the winter months. I swear the Cocoa Butter one is a miracle product.

    Happy Holidays! :)

  18. I love Runner's World! It's the only magazine where I read pretty much every page! So good. And a housekeeper would be awesome. I'm so bad about the serious cleaning. Especially the bathrooms!

  19. I would want some of those things too. How about a nice pair of jeans? Or a new smart tv. Those are quite expensive but if I had somebody who could afford it, I would definitely ask for it. Scarf or housekeeping deals will help you to save money on what you want so your dollar stretches more.
