Alright, it's that time again. Here are a few of my favorite things for October. There is more food on here than normal, but whatever... I'm storing up for winter (and marathon training).
1.) Aquage Uplifting Foam
Ok, so this item is a little pricey, but I promise it's worth it. I buy it off of Amazon.com, but I'm thinking of asking my hair stylist to buy it direct for me. She usually sells it for the same price that the supply house has it marked. Anyways, I have fine hair, but lots of it. My hair lays very flat to my head, and this is the only stuff that really helps lift it away from my scalp.
2.) Fage Fruyo Cherry Yogurt
The only flavor of the Fruyo that I like is the cherry. Yes, there is a high sugar content, but you have to think of it as a treat. The black cherry smoothies from Panera are a past addiction of mine (that addiction ended quickly when I saw the nutrition info). These yogurts taste JUST like those smoothies. For 140 calories, I'd say that's a good swap.
3.) The Laughing Cow Cinnamon Cream Cheese Spread
I'm loving the Laughing Cow queso cheese wedges, so when I saw that they had a cream cheese variety, I was SO excited. Each wedge is 45 calories and is more than enough to put on two pieces of bread. I put this stuff on Pumpkin Streusel bread from Target, and it is AMAZING.
4.) L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer
I have some serious dark circles under my eyes, and this covers them right up. It is also kind of glow-y and acts as a highlighter. I'm not big on doing the whole "highlight and contour" look for every day, but using this and some bronzer gives you a natural version.
5.) Target Long Sleeve Crew Neck Tees
These puppies are $8 a piece. I have a weird thing with wearing v-necks in the winter. I'm much more of a crew neck type of girl. I like everything to covered up and warm and cozy. Target has these in a bunch of fall colors and fun stripes. I love the red and orange stripe, and they also have a grey and black. Go get them all!
6.) Greek Yogurt Bars
George and I picked up a giant box of these at Costco. These bars taste like an apple dessert, and we can't get enough. Our box also had a pumpkin flavor with pumpkin seeds. They taste like fall.
7.) Go Go Squeez Applesauce
This stuff is so perfect for long runs. The Gu gels really gross me out, and anything that I have to chew is a total choking hazard. These packets are resealable and big enough to get several servings with one packet. I keep one in my Flip belt, event though it makes me look like a have a tumor.
8.) Wright Socks
When I first started running, I had a terrible time with blisters. These socks have two layers of fabric, so the outermost layer rubs against the inner layer instead of your foot. I buy mine off of Amazon.com, and they have a ton of different colors and styles.
9.) Renew Lotion
With cold, dry air coming our way, my skin is going to freak out in protest. I get awful dry patches that get red, itchy, and ugly. This lotion is the ONLY thing I can find that takes care of the job. I feel that it can get a little sticky if you use it all over, so I only put it on the areas where I get really dry. It is a little pricey, but lasts forever if you only use it on problem areas. My sister in law gets it for me, but you can also purchase it on Amazon. It is a must if you have dry skin!
Alright, so there are my favorite things for October! Go get you some!
